Getting in and out of the driver's and passenger's side using the step provides great help, support, and safety for children and teenagers, as well as for people with physical limitations
Especially when leaving the vehicle in the dark, the distance to the ground is often difficult to judge. Falls, injuries, and traffic accidents (falls onto the road) are prevented. An optional, automatic floor illumination under the additional entry steps, activated when the doors are opened, provides extra safety when getting in and out of the vehicle in the dark. Suitable for the following vehicle models: Fiat Ducato from 2006, Peugeot Boxer from 2006, Citroen Jumper from 2006, Opel Movano from 2021. The free step—an additional step—reduces the height difference by approximately 20 cm, to only about 26 cm. The steps themselves are vertically adjustable to the respective vehicle design. This is achieved using continuous vertical longitudinal profiles on the underside of each step. This allows the step to be individually adapted to different vehicle bodies, such as those of caravans and campervans. Each step measures (L x W x H) 790 x 130 x 80 mm and is made of a highly stable aluminum profile. At each short end, there is a securely screwed-on, rounded, and impact-resistant safety plastic cover. A non-slip profile is integrated into the surface of the aluminum component. This profile ensures safe entry and exit. The step is securely screwed to and under the vehicle frame using vehicle-specific stainless steel brackets, which are included. The design of the brackets guarantees a load-bearing capacity of at least 140 kg per step.
