This 4-chamber pressure diaphragm pump is equipped with full rubber mounting feet, which dampen vibrations and thus ensure very quiet operation. The pressure diaphragm pump moves the water using four working chambers, each equipped with a membrane (hence 4-chamber pressure diaphragm pump) and two valves. The diaphragm continuously expands and contracts the volume of the working chamber. The two valves ensure that the water is actually pumped. Furthermore, the pump is equipped with a pressure switch that shuts it off at a specific, adjustable pressure. If the system pressure falls below the pump's cut-in pressure (hysteresis = cut-in pressure - cut-in pressure), the pump automatically switches back on. This ensures that the pump only pumps water when a tap in the system is open. The pump also features a bypass control, which can also be adjusted. Above a certain, adjustable pressure, the bypass returns a portion of the pumped water to the pump inlet. This prevents the pump from "stuttering" (rapidly switching on and off) at the threshold of the set cut-in pressure. As a result, the pump remains continuously switched on and delivers a low but constant flow rate. This regulator is particularly suitable for systems with fine-pored filters, but also for those requiring a very low flow rate, such as spray fittings.
