Drain valves can be installed between the water pipes or at their end for drainage. This allows for complete drainage of the hose valves, which, for example, largely prevents the risk of the water hose freezing and bursting in frosty conditions.

The ABO valves are automatic, non-electrical drain valves with pressure monitoring. The FrostControl also features temperature monitoring to prevent frost damage, with automatic activation at 3°C (opening of the drain valve) and automatic shutdown at 7°C (closing of the drain valve).
