When the battery is charged by the alternator (vehicle engine) or from an external 230V power supply, the voltage increases. This creates a surplus of electrical energy, which is used by the electronic circuit board to run the compressor at maximum speed. As a result, the temperature inside the refrigerator drops, further cooling the food and drinks and essentially using them as a cold storage unit. As the temperature drops, the compressor gradually reduces its speed. Once the set temperature or the minimum temperature (1°C) is reached, the compressor maintains this temperature level at minimum speed and extremely low power consumption.
