The KotoAir 1020 filter from ToMTuR is a globally unique development that allows the operation of composting toilets without an external vent connection. The filter is simply attached to the end of the hose and placed anywhere inside the toilet. It supports both the drying function of the fan and odor-free operation.

The filter lasts at least six months in continuous use with a composting toilet before it needs to be replaced. With sporadic use, a correspondingly longer lifespan is possible.

The special feature of this filter lies in the unique processing of the activated carbon. Normally, activated carbon is extremely sensitive to moisture and clogs up very quickly upon contact with it. Therefore, conventional activated carbon filters are unsuitable for use in composting toilets! Thanks to impregnation and further processing steps known from the automotive industry, our KotoAir 1020 activated carbon filter can also be used in humid environments. The filter fits the hose ends of the OGO and Nature's Head toilets as standard. However, it can also be used with other composting toilets with a 40mm connection and appropriate sealing tape.
