The LRM 1218 MPP solar charge controller is a switched-mode controller that ensures the connected solar panels are always optimally charged, regardless of sunlight, battery voltage, and panel temperature, while the battery is in the main charging phase.
The supplied charging voltages are perfectly adapted to the leisure battery via a temperature sensor and the option to select from four battery types.
The starter battery is also charged at a maximum of 2.5A once the leisure battery has completed the main charging phase.
The solar charge controller can be optimally integrated into Schaudt bus systems via the SDT bus connection.
For retrofitting older systems, a connection with a suitable analog signal is provided to display the solar currents in the leisure and starter batteries.
The built-in fan is very quiet and only operates at high charging currents.
