It's a small revolution in the mobile phone generator segment: the new The EU32i generator from Honda. This ultra-compact unit delivers 3.2 kVA of power – with an empty weight of just 26.5 kg. Currently, there is no other inverter generator in the world that offers so much power in such a small size and with such low weight. To achieve these figures, Honda has incorporated several innovative features into this premium generator. These include a completely redesigned engine with a novel main bearing and battery-free FI fuel injection, a highly efficient generator with a neodymium magnet, and a compact, weight-reduced monocoque housing. With 3.2 kVA of power and its functional case design, the mobile EU32i is the perfect size for a wide range of applications – such as fire and rescue operations, disaster relief, emergency power supply, mobile trades and emergency services, construction sites, event catering and technology, mobile power supply for cooking or refrigeration equipment in food trucks, operation of air conditioning systems, and power supply on boats, in the garden, and while camping. At the heart of the EU32i is the new energy-efficient GX130-OHC 4-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection, lambda control, and an electronic throttle valve – an absolute first in the field of portable inverter generators. The lambda sensor measures the residual oxygen in the exhaust gas and automatically adjusts the air-fuel ratio to the applied load. To deliver the 3.2 kVA output, the engine runs at a slightly higher speed. Despite this, it consumes up to 35 percent less fuel compared to its predecessor. The fuel injection system operates without a battery. A pull of the starter cord is all it takes to start the engine and generate the pressure required for the fuel injection system. The fuel-injected engine is not only more efficient than a carburetor engine, but it also runs flawlessly at higher altitudes without requiring any adjustments to the air/fuel mixture in a workshop. Furthermore, since the fuel system is completely closed, no fuel remains in the carburetor, and no gasoline vapors are released when the engine is switched off. For maximum power output, Honda is using neodymium magnets in the EU32i generator for the first time. These super magnets possess enormous magnetic force while remaining lightweight and compact, which helps to keep fuel consumption low during continuous operation. This is also reflected in the operating time per tank of fuel: In combination with the economical eco-mode, this mobile phone generator achieves an impressively long runtime of 3.3 hours at full load and 8.6 hours in eco mode (1/4 load) with a 4.7-liter tank. For easy and safe transport, the generator has an ergonomic handle on top and two recessed handles on the bottom. The top handle is designed so that the generator, with its impact-resistant rounded corners, can be carried by two people. The generator can be remotely controlled and monitored via Bluetooth using a specially developed smartphone app. The app provides technical information on the operating status, output power, remaining fuel level, and remaining operating time. Safety features such as an engine stop function, as well as fault and maintenance functions, are also integrated.
