Solar charge controller for motorhomes, caravans and boats. The solar charge controller is specifically designed for use in motorhomes and caravans and is suitable for all lead-acid battery types and brands (wet, GEL/dryfit, and AGM/fleece batteries). Intelligent microprocessor control ensures optimal charging of the batteries using IU1oU2 charging characteristics. The solar charge controller operates fully automatically and maintenance-free and offers the following functions: Auxiliary battery charging output I: Charging programs 1, 2, and 4 (gel, AGM, lead-acid) adjustable to battery type. Starter battery charging output II: Separate auxiliary charging output with reduced charging current (12 V / 0.8 A or 1.5 A) for trickle charging and maintaining the charge of the vehicle's starter battery with overcharging protection during extended periods of inactivity. The charging voltage is free of spikes and regulated to prevent overcharging of the batteries. Two battery charging outputs: Automatic charging of the main or auxiliary battery (Auxiliary Battery I). Trickle charging and maintenance charging of the vehicle starter battery (Start II) with overcharge protection. Unattended charging: Standard protection against battery back-discharge (in case of insufficient solar power, e.g., at dusk, at night, etc.), overload, and overheating. Buffer operation: Adherence to the charging curves even when simultaneously operating consumers connected to the battery. Overcharge protection: Reduces the battery charging current when solar power is too high and the battery is full, and ensures the highest possible state of charge by immediately recharging when power is being drawn. "IU1oU2" charging curve: Defined charging voltage increase (U1) prevents harmful acid stratification and ensures equalization of the individual battery cells, followed by automatic maintenance charging (U2). On-board power filter: Integrated, allows trouble-free parallel operation of the regulator with other charging sources, wind and gasoline generators, mains chargers, alternators, etc., connected to a single battery. Connection For temperature sensors: Automatic adjustment of the charging voltage to the battery temperature. In cold weather, this results in a better full charge of weaker batteries, while in summer temperatures, it prevents unnecessary battery gassing. Highly recommended if the battery is exposed to strong temperature fluctuations, e.g. B. in the engine compartment.

Charging cable compensation: Voltage losses on the charging cables are automatically compensated.

Measuring output for EBL (vehicle's electrical control unit): Enables convenient use of the (solar) current display built into the electrical control unit to monitor the solar system.

Switching output "AES" (SR 350 CI and SR 550 CI only): In the event of a large surplus of solar power, causes ELECTROLUX/DOMETIC refrigerators with "AES" (Automatic Energy Selector) to automatically switch from gas to 12 V operation.
