EU pedestrian protection bar for Fiat Ducato model 2014, low version

Pedestrian protection bars look good and improve pedestrian safety in an accident because they absorb more energy than previous front protection bars. According to the manufacturer, the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) confirms: Pedestrian safety is comparable to or better than in vehicles without a front protection bar.

INFO: Since May 25, 2007, new front protection bars must comply with EU Directive 2005/66/EC on the use of front protection systems on vehicles. Among other things, the manufacturer must demonstrate that the installation of the bar reduces the probability of serious injuries to pedestrians in the event of an accident by 10%. Increased flexibility, which minimizes impact energy in an accident and reduces the consequences, and other significant improvements transform the previous "bull bar" into a pedestrian protection bar.
