10.1-inch HD display with "OPTICAL BONDING" technology: The large 10.1-inch LCD display (25.7 cm diagonal) delivers brilliant colors with high contrast and impressive sharpness. Equipped with a state-of-the-art electrostatic capacitive touchscreen, an HD LCD panel with 1280 x 720 (720p) resolution and white LED backlighting, it boasts high luminance and excellent wide viewing angles. The optical bonding technology used in the DNR992RVS combines various adhesive technologies to create a single unit between the touchscreen and display. During the bonding process, the air gap between the touchscreen and display is replaced with a transparent adhesive in a cleanroom environment to ensure flawless touch functionality, while simultaneously reducing reflections and improving readability. 3 years of free map updates: A paid update for the map data used in all Kenwood Navitainers is released annually. After a one-time, automatic activation following initial use, new Kenwood Navitainers can be updated free of charge for three years using the downloadable version available from the Garmin website. HD Front/Rear View Camera Input:The optional CMOS-740HD camera (Reimo part no. 47825) can be connected to the front or rear view camera input of the DMX9720XDS and displays the image in true 1280 x 720 (720p) HD resolution. The camera's High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology further helps to eliminate image distortions caused by particularly dark or bright lighting conditions, making it the ideal front/rear view camera option.
