Propane and fuel gas tanks must be inspected by a TÜV-certified expert every 10 years. The next inspection date is indicated on the tank. Vehicles with an expired gas tank inspection certificate lose their operating permit. The vehicle owner is responsible for this. You return your old tank and receive the inspected tank back after approximately 4 weeks. The tank must be empty and the protective casing removed upon delivery. Delivery by mail must be freight prepaid. Not all parcel services accept gas tanks, even when empty (due to the smell of gas); please check with your local shipping provider before sending. Please note that the new inspection number for the gas tank must be entered in your vehicle registration document.
