The fuel gas tank is a gas tank for refueling with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Unlike LPG tanks for cars, fuel gas tanks draw gas from the gaseous phase. The gaseous gas is used for combustion, cooking, and heating in motorhomes. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is a mixture of propane and butane. It is drawn from the tank via a labyrinth tube inside the fuel tank. Correct tank installation is crucial; the prescribed installation position must be observed. By default, gas tanks are oriented at 105° unless explicitly stated otherwise. In this orientation, the valve plate is slightly tilted downwards. When the tanks are correctly installed, the labyrinth tube runs from below through the liquid gas and ends above the liquid gas level. Above the liquid gas level in the tank, the propane/butane vaporizes into a gas mixture and falls down the labyrinth tube to the gas withdrawal valve. Here, it can be used as fuel for combustion purposes. The gas drawn from the gas tank is heavier than air. Connections: Fill stop valve with 80% stop; Safety valve 27 bar; Contents indicator (analog); Withdrawal valve with flow limiter. The system is approved according to ECE Regulation R67.01 - without an expiry date! Therefore, the gas system does not require periodic inspections. It only needs to be re-inspected after a new installation or repair, an accident, or a fire.
