Since January 1, 2003, the new EN 1949 and EN 12864 standards have been in effect. Therefore, only pressure regulators conforming to the new standard with 30 mbar may be used in new and newly registered vehicles. Newly registered vehicles may only be equipped with an operating pressure of 30 mbar. The change in operating pressure to 30 mbar is part of EC harmonization. This means: 30 mbar for new vehicles, 30 mbar or 50 mbar for vehicles older than January 1, 2003. Tip: To calculate the appropriate pressure regulator: According to the standard, the regulator's flow rate must be large enough that, when all appliances are operating simultaneously, the regulator's flow rate exceeds the consumption. Example: 2-burner stove 232 g/h, heater E2400 200 g/h, boiler 120 g/h = consumption: 552 g/h >Regulator with a flow rate of 0.8 kg/h.
