Together with the modern and secure 868 MHz frequency band, the magnetic contacts offer protection against unauthorized access to the vehicle. A second, sensitive reed contact provides mechanical tamper protection by transmitting external magnetic influences. If the magnet in the smaller housing moves far enough away from the transmitter, the reed contact triggers a transmission pulse. Your alarm system therefore knows the status of individual doors and windows.
